About Ice House Skating Academy
Founded in 2005, Ice House Skating Academy is the figure skating club for Kensington Valley Ice House in Brighton, Michigan and Hartland Ice House (Hartland Sports Center) in Hartland, Michigan. Ice House SA is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
We welcome all levels of skaters at any time throughout the year, and pride ourselves on making our Learn To Skate Basic Skills members part of the Ice House SA family. Ice House SA offers different levels of membership to suit your needs and budget including Introductory, 2nd club, and more. Ice House Skating Academy is a member of US Figure Skating. Our skaters pursue a number of different disciplines, as it a goal of our club to foster all paths and forms of figure skating.
Our Mission
To foster figure skating on ice. To encourage the instruction, practice and advancement of the members in any or all disciplines of figure skating; and to encourage and cultivate a spirit of fraternal feeling among ice skaters.
Accolades
Ice House SA is proud to be the home of TEAM USA, awarded consecutively to Harmony Theatre Company in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018 by the United States Figure Skating Association.
2017 Nations’ Cup & Adult Gold Cup
Making its third appearance at the international level, Harmony Theatre Company represented well on home soil at the 2017 Nations’ Cup and Adult Gold Cup, held at Yost Arena in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Of the 16 Teams USA, the four Harmony teams medaled at every level, with the Novice team securing the Gold.
2015 Nations’ Cup & Gold Cup Adult
Harmony Theatre Company was awarded TEAM USA status again in 2014; and all four teams earned international medals at the Nations’ Cup Ballet on Ice 2015 Interclub Competition and Gold Cup Adult Ballet on Ice 2015 Interclub Competition. The Junior team secured the Gold medal for their division, and the Senior and Adult teams earned Silver. The Novice team placed 4th in their first international competition.
III Nations’ Cup (2013)
Harmony’s Junior, Senior and Adult teams represented Team USA at the 2013 Nation’s Cup in Logrono, Spain, where they were the highest placing US team and came home with 2 Silvers (Senior and Adult) and 1 Pewter (Junior).
The Hartland Ice House Stadium rink boasts our “Wall of Champions”; highlighting individuals and teams that have placed Pewter or higher at National level competitions, while the lobby showcases banners and trophies for our National Competitors, as well as our club members testing accomplishments. Every year our skaters can be seen at many of the local annual competitions, and our competitive skaters represent Ice House SA at:

Annual Events
Ice House Skating Academy hosts a number of different events throughout the season, including the annual ice show, guest coaching seminars, send off exhibitions for national competitions, and our yearly banquet.
We also host the annual Michigan Showcase competition, which serves as a qualifier for National Showcase.
