SnowPlow Sam | Ages 8 and Under
Designed for kids under 6 to build confidence while learning to skate, incorporating fun and games, making class time an enjoyable experience for all.
Basic Skills 1-6 | Ages 9 and Up
Put the FUN in fundamentals as the skater learns the basics of skating: forward skating, backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, turns, and Mohawks.
Hockey Skating Skills | Beginner Hockey Players
Proper skating techniques for the game of hockey are the primary focus and all elements are taught without a puck or stick. Skaters will learn the basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, and other necessary fundamentals to be successful. Participants in the class must be able to skate forward and backward, skate basic crossovers and hockey stop prior to enrolling.
Adult | Ages 18+
The adult curriculum is designed for beginning and experienced skaters who wish to improve their skills. It’s never too late to start your skating journey!

Monday classes are always held at the BIGGBY COFFEE ICE CUBE in Brighton, MI. Tuesday and Thursday classes are held at HARTLAND ICE HOUSE in Hartland, MI. Saturday classes are held at both HARTLAND ICE HOUSE AND BIGGBY COFFEE ICE CUBE - be sure to select the Saturday location that best fits your needs.

All new registrations from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 will have their one-time Learn To Skate membership fee INCLUDED in their listed session price. This cost is spread out over multiple sessions, so you are not paying more than one membership fee in one year.

You’ll select a Learn To Skate class AFTER adding a Session & Class Day option to your shopping cart! Use the form that pops up on your screen to enter your skater’s information and their selected class.

Fall, winter, and spring sessions are generally 6-8 weeks long. Pricing is based on number of classes offered in a specific session. Your skater is welcome to participate all year long and if they would like.
